Goofy Face of the Week

This is Westly's latest goofy face, and it is accompanied by him snorting through his nose. He came up with it all by himself and it makes me totally crack up. Now he'll come up to me and do this and want me to do it back. I'm glad he has a goofy sense of humor!

May's Crafty Project

During Westly's first year of life I used a special baby calendar to record his big developments, reports from his well-baby check ups, illnesses, and special moments. Well, the calendar is finished, but I still want to be able to record the special things he's learning to do and how he's growing up. So I made my own little recorder.

I cut little slits in the star paper so I can swap out pictures of him each month

I typed and printed out a little sheet with a place to record the date and what he's learning to do

I attached to two sides with ribbons

Now I can be sure I won't miss the recording the exciting new things he is constantly learning to do!

Mama's Little Helper

These days little West wants to do everything Mama is doing...even cleaning!

We found this play vaccume at a thrift store and he is thrilled to have his own now!

A Week in the Life of Westly

Hi, Peoples! It't me--the Mini Doodle. This week I'm obsessed with Jamba Juice. Mama and Daddy made the mistake of giving me a taste, and I ended up drinking most of Daddy's. The next day I found this cup in the trash! Score! I can't believe they would throw it away. Mama kept saying it was empty, but I managed to slurp a few last melted drops from it. Heaven!

I decided it was time for me to practice some driving. Mama cleaned the car this week and I helped. (At one point I crawled under the car to get the wipes that had rolled under there. Mama sounded really scared as she dragged me out, but then she couldn't help laughing after she saw I was ok.)

If I can just stand up like this I have a clear view of the road.

Oh, and in case you didn't know, I'm walking full-time now! No more crawling for me. I just decided it was time. And I was really excited to play with this toy from Grammy. It makes a great popping noise that I know Mama loves!
