My New Collection

I've taken up a new collection. This collection is a little absurd in nature, but then what collections aren't? (ei lighters, shot glasses, thimbles...to name a few absurd ones. No offense if you collect these trinkets. Own up to your absurdity!)

Anyways, my new collection is that of unusual names. I believe this collection will come in handy-- (not for the plethora of children I may have some day)-- but for the plethora of characters I may want to create in future books. It's always handy having a collection of names to pick from when creating a new character. Feel free to donate to my collection. Here's what I have thus far:

Wilbeforce
Dunkin
Althea
Chauncy

How My Valentine Woos Me All Year Long

1. He sends me a love note in the mail every week (they're clipped on our frige, if you don't believe me)

2. He gives me kisses goodbye and hello every day

3. He tells me I'm beautiful, even when I first wake up

4. He sees a photo of me and thinks he's the luckiest guy in the world to have me

5. He's so proud of me and my accomplishments

6. He appreciates the way I take care of him

7. He comforts me when I cry, and laughs when I do

8. He plans monthly dates that delight me

9. He puts lots of thought into gifts for me

10. He loves me unconditionally all year long

I love you, my one and only Valentine!

Happy Birthday, Manor!

We have officially been in our house for one year (since Sat. Feb. 6). One year ago we were moving in and painting. I remember the day we closed Escrow. It was Friday. We were all packed and ready to move, but were waiting on confirmation that the house was in our name and officially ours. We had until 5pm before the county office closed for the weekend. Michael and I were driving somewhere. I got a call from our loan lady at 5:10pm. She said, "It's official, the house is yours!" We were so relieved and happy. And as I hung up, we both looked ahead and in the sky we saw this huge rainbow! We both teared up from relief and gratitude, remembering how good God is and how He always keeps his promises.

My how our Manor has changed in a year!

Trader Fauf's

The other night, Michael and I were talking about making some diet changes in our life. We're fairly healthy, but we both agreed we could eat healthier and lose a few inches. So we're thinking about the best way to tackle this. We might switch our shopping from Food Max to Trader Joe's, eat smaller portions for dinner, cut out after dinner snacking, limit our eating out, and be mindful of snacks and sweets.

Anything I've left out?
